HisTory
Our company, Kuark was established in 2003. Kuark means fundamental particle of matter. This name was given due to the interest of our founder, Yahya Göknar, in physics. Kuark entered the laser device market by making its first distributorship agreement with the world-famous medical laser company Hoya Conbio in 2004. Kuark showed great success and sold more than 20 dental lasers in the first year. In 2005, Kuark signed the agreement with Medart company and entered the medical aesthetics. In the Midwinter Dental Show organization in 2005, Kuark met with Discuss Dental company and became their distributor for dental bleaching products. 200 devices were sold in the first year and Kuark became a well-known company in the dentistry. In 2006, Kuark became the distributor of Aesthera company and sold 24 devices in the first year and entered to the Dermatology. Kuark was chosen the distributor of the year because of the sales to a clinic chain. In 2007, Kuark started to work with Hoya Conbio (Cynosure) and entered to Q-Switch market with Medlite. There were 11 units of Q-Switch ND:Yag technology all over Turkey at that time, and all of them were Medlite, but only 1 of them was working actively. Kuark activated the passive devices in 6-8 months. In 2008, they sold 7 more Medlite. In 2007, Kuark entered Plastic Surgery field by signing the agreement with SST to sell Vaser systems in Turkey. Until Solta was acquired by Valeant, Kuark sold over 100 Vaser systems and introduced many Plastic surgeons to the Ultrasonic liposuction technology. Kuark met with Canfield company in 2008 and conduct a workshop after the agreement. More than 80% of the participant bought 3D Vectra system. In 2008, Thermage (RF technology) and Fraxel (laser) companies contacted with Kuark to be their distributor. Kuark started with Fraxel. After the acquisition Fraxel & Thermage, the company became Solta. In 2009, Kuark established a sister company called Implatek to sell dental implants. In 2010, Kuark signed the distributor agreement with Zeltiq and started to sell CoolSculpting. Kuark was one of the first distributors globally and this partnership is with Allergan still continues. In 2012, Kuark became the distributor for Theraclear. Kuark moved to its new office in EGS Business Park in 2012 and worked on the vision of the company and revised some operation process like personnel management, CRM system etc. In 2013, Kuark signed distributor contract with Restoration Robotics and became the authorized representative of Artas brand in hair transplantation market. In 2013, Kuark established any other sister company called Alpha-Omega/Medicate for the dental implants. In 2013, Kuark started to work with Syneron company for dental lasers. In 2014, Kuark became the Turkish representative of the MiraDry brand, which treats hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). In 2015, Kuark made an agreement with Photomedex, the excimer laser brand for Psoriasis and Vitiligo. In 2016, Kuark started to work with Viora, a manufacturer of radio frequency devices, and in the same year signed agreement with Omnilux for the Led therapy devices. In 2016, Kuark made an agreement with Sciton. In 2019, Kuark signed the agreement with Tav-Tech to sell Jetpeel systems. In 2021, Kuark added 2 new brands and technologies to its product portfolio “Sofwave” and “Venus Concept”. Reached a good number of install bases on Softwave devices, within the 1st quarter after a successful launch. 2023, The new products for Ophthalmology, Orthopedics Urology are recently added to the product portfolio.
